Are you looking for something to do on a fun night out? I recommend trivia night! There is no better way to spend time with your family and friends than participating in a fun competition while enjoying food.
When I’m at trivia with my family or friends, the setup is pretty simple. There is a host who asks questions, and competitors usually write their answers. The questions get harder as the night goes on. Popular subjects at trivia nights are pop culture, science, geography, history, and sports, which cover multiple decades.
One of my favorite things about trivia is how competitive it can be. People really get into trivia and show their emotions, slamming things, yelling, and howling with laughter. Also, you can learn a lot about a person’s knowledge and even your own. For example, you may not think you are as smart as you are. Maybe you know an unsettling amount of facts about birds. Trivia night will give you a chance to soar.
A lot of local restaurants do trivia night. The Boot, El Olmeca, and Pappo’s Pizzeria are some of the few that cater to trivia buffs.
Last Monday, I went with family and friends to trivia night at Pappo’s Pizzeria, and we had an amazing time. There were several rounds with lots of fun questions. We were all into it, having a blast. We laughed most of the night, and the cherry on top was winning first place and taking home a $25 gift card.
If you are a bored college student and looking for something to do, consider playing in a local trivia night.
