A Word from Calhoun’s “Gated Campus”

Hello from Calhoun’s “gated campus” at Limestone Correctional Facility.  Just wanted to say I am proud of each one of you for continuing your education, especially in these troubled times.

Do not give up.  I know things are scary, confusing, and hard, yet your education will get you where you want to be.

When things get tough on my end, I try to remember why I started my education to begin with.  I completed the fourth grade, received my GED in the military, and now I have completed architectural drafting, and have completed three core courses toward my associate degree.  I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa, and I am continuing two core courses this semester.

So, you see, you can do this!
