Bonjour to Hello: Our E-Tandem Program

Do you want to learn French, but you don’t know where to start?

Calhoun is partnering with the University of Lorraine in Nancy, France, to do an E-Tandem program.

The E-Tandem program is where two people, who have different first languages, agree to meet regularly online to support each other with learning their language.

The Language Center at the University of Lorraine will provide language exchange partners for Calhoun students, faculty, and alumni.

A first meeting will be set up online to introduce participants to their assigned partners. From there, participants will find a time that works best for them.

Feedback meetings will also be held to help everyone make the most of the partnership.

In order to participate, one needs to find time to meet with an assigned partner online (preferably between 1-2 hours a week), maintain this schedule for a minimum of 6 weeks, and share the time equally between each participant’s language.

If you have questions, please contact Dr. Vicki Earnest, Calhoun French Instructor. Vicki.Earnest@calhoun.edu.
