At Calhoun, an incentive has begun to reward those that are fully vaccinated. Calhoun’s Vaccination Incentive Program is a new program that’s underway where students who can show proof that they are indeed fully vaccinated will be given a reward of $150.

Students were sent a Calhoun email regarding this exciting announcement that explains the details of this program and how to submit their information. During the end of August and the early days of September, free vaccinations were conducted on both Decatur and Huntsville campuses for those that did want to get vaccinated.

Elizabeth Dreyer, a student who was already vaccinated, felt that “the incentive is very helpful in getting students to get their vaccination.” Dreyer also felt that if they were not already vaccinated, the program would have greatly helped them in their decision to get vaccinated.

Vaccinated student Sophie Amos says “Yes!” to the incentive helping others in making their decision to getting vaccinated.

Although an email was sent out to all students regarding the incentive, many students had no idea that this program was available.

In order to register for this program, one must head to the Calhoun website under the address https://calhoun.edu/covid-19-vaccination-incentives/ to submit their information. The deadline for this incentive is October 15, 2021. Students will receive their $150 on or around November 30th, 2021.
