If you are a new Calhoun student, or even a longtime student, you may not know what resources are available to you or how to access them. Calhoun’ Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Chapter, Sigma Lamba, can help point you in the right direction with their new video series.
The video series aims to provide information on how to access certain Calhoun resources in a quick, easy to follow manner. In fact, the first video is available to watch right now!
In this first video, PTK Sigma Lambda Officer Samuel Barker goes over how Calhoun students can loan out laptops and other tech for use during school semesters.
“Through Calhoun’s IT department, students can loan laptops as well as other tech accessories, such as webcams, thumb drives, and calculators,” says Barker.
Do you already have a laptop but need a better internet connection? The video covers that too! Students can request a Wi-Fi hotspot through Calhoun. Device upgrades can also be requested to improve your computer. The best part is this program is absolutely free to Calhoun students. The video also makes note of the QR codes you may have seen posted around campus. These QR codes can be scanned with your phone and link to instant contact access to rent a laptop at Calhoun, among other Calhoun services such a counseling.
